So we should be expecting

Kreider-Stepan-MSL
Zucc-Brass-Nash
Hags-Miller-Fast
Glass-Moore-XXX(Carcillo?)

McD-G
Staal-Boyle
Moore-Klein

Hank
Talbot

Not a bad team. A lot of question marks on the 3rd line but Miller can't be worse than Richards and Fast will hopefully be a RW Hags

Out of curiosity, what happens if we go to Arbitration, and the arbitration salary awarded makes Rangers exceed the cap ?

Based on what? Fast is closer to a lock than Kristo. Kristo would need to play in the top-6, who are they going to shift for him to be a "lock?"

We lose him as a UFA if he doesn't make the team, essentially.

Also, it's just flat out incorrect to say that he would need to play in the top six. I'd want him in the bottom six and I think that is where his future is.

I give glass 1 month before he's sent down to the AHL. AV will not tolerate him. He's God awful at everything.
I believe glass was with AV in Vancouver so that's incorrect. But I'm beyond disappointed with the moves we made other than bringing in Dan Boyle he was needed. Bringing in glass is a huge mistake, Brian Boyle for only 2 million in Tampa is disgusting. How do you not give Boyle that 2 million and not sign glass? I'm confused and disappointed

Awful July 1st for the Rangers. I can somewhat understand the reasoning of D Boyle over Strålman (PP) despite Strålman being the superior player but signing Glass at that contract instead of Brian Boyle?? Forget not signing Boyle, just signing Glass is complete idiocy. Sather dissapoints big time today.

+ D.Boyle
+ Glass

what is Sather's plan here? Is he expecting Miller (yes), Fast, Lindberg to all make the team?
that said, shouldn't we have an insane amount of cap available to us now?

I can understand expecting those 3 to make it, BUT WHY BRING IN GLASS WHY.

I don't think the problem is signing Glass over Boyle it's signing Glass in general. We're trying to save money on our 4th line since we're in a cap crunch now. Adding an extra 600k just makes it even tougher. I'd rather just not have signed Glass at all and signed someone cheaper or used Fast or something. Additionally the assumption that "Boyle took 3-6 from TB so he would have taken 3-6 from us" is blatantly false.

He's currently a RFA in need of a new contract. Therefore, this is only true if he signs a one-year deal.

totally. our non-signing all make sense.
Poo wanted too much
Richards - buyout
Boyle - wanted more than a 4th line role. I doubt $ was an issue
Stralman - i'm guessing wanted too many years which would have hurt our ability to retain our RFAs moving forward
Dorsett - eh, I'd honestly prefer him over glass. Dorsett had some skill with the puck but I can't say I've seen much of Glass. AV better know what he's doing here.

We appear to be short several forwards here...

well, it's going to be an exciting training camp then. It's actually the type of training camp I think Ranger fans have clamored for for quite some time; many slots for kids to take. It's just weird to see that following a SCF visit. Sather still has a few months to "mess that up" but come September, who knows, maybe we are seeing kids like Duclair make the lineup and we're saying "wow, Sather. so foresight. much genius"

I guess Brian Boyle re-signs, he didn't go anywhere today.

Pretty sure Carcillo is done.
