St. Louis will be a good opening night matchup. I am looking forward to seeing how we stack up considering how well they did last year.

We're deeper than they are. We've won the seasons series the last two years 8-4. I still see us as a good matchup because we can still match them physical wise as well as overmatch them skill wise.

Imo Blues are THE deepest team, offensively. And they will be very dangerous if Cole is up to the job of not looking like pylon next to Pietrangelo. Otherwise they are stacked.

That's depth.

Worst possible schedule. We face all those Pacific timezone teams twice away and only once at home (except Kings).

It won't be easy for us.

No insanely long road trips, although seven of eight games on the road for a stretch there mid-late March.

Good one…the Wings are not deeper than the Blues

The Blues have a nearly point per game player on their 3rd line (McDonald).

Nearly half (21) of the Wings games are either on NBC, VS, or NHLN.

Safe to say unless Game Center or CI are either free or very cheap this year I won't be getting them and will watch the other 27 via stream.

As someone said earlier, this schedule is poopy. Two away games versus 3/4 West coast teams (Sharks, Ducks, Canucks). The problem is that Dallas is in the Pacific division and the Canucks are in the Northwest division, so we get screwed on the west coast trips. At least we play Columbus five times. I can't wait for realignment.

Speaking of, anyone have news about Game Center? Thinking of getting it this year to be able to watch the game the next day (yes, no more 4 am games for me on weekdays)
