Chicago picks Kane first overall. They then grab Jason Gregoire in the 5th or 6th round. Gregoire outplays Kane at next year's prospect's camp and makes the team over Kane. Plays on the 2nd line with Toews for most of the season and scores 25 goals. He also goes on to the World Juniors and plays on a line with Zach Hamill. Him and Hamill tie for the leading scorer on team Canada.

You heard it here first :)

if we're going out on a limb...then let's go

Gaborik ends up in MTL (in a swap of picks and players)

Gagner or Alzner end up in MTL

Sutter ends up in Edmonton

Subban ends up in Montreal (everyone goes scrambling for Draft guides)

Perron and Espo end up in Boston (110% set explodes)

Pierre McGuire's favorite pick (insert name here) gets passed on by too many teams (Pierre McGuire's head explodes)

Columbus takes Alex Killorn

The Habs end up with a Nash.

well I got that one right

Mayorov goes Top 15.
Hamill goes in the Top 10.
Cherepanov falls like a rock.
Perron gets picked in the 2nd round.
Eller drops outside the Top 15.

Backlund goes top 5

Cheraponov Drops out of the top 10

Turris goes 1st.

Good thread!

My out-on-the-limbers:

* Brandon Sutter gets drafted before Alexie Cherepanov

* Sam Gagner falls out of the top 10

* Dave Perron falls out of the first round. Maybe out of the second round too.

Both Eller and Sweatt go in the top 10.
Cherepanov falls out of the top 12.
Dallas takes a non Finn with their first pick.
Detroit drafts a north american player.

My guess is Cherepanov is not a top ten pick.

All right, here goes:

Turris 1st overall
Cherepanov drops out of the top ten.
More Americans are drafted top 15 than Canadians!! :amazed:

you guys are geniuses, i am so glad you were all right! :handclap::teach: ;)

What do I win?? What do I win??

Okay, okay... I modified my post (really?). Goes to prove a point though, no draft EVER goes as people think it will. And yet next year, we'll see all the same types of posts..."That will NEVER happen... you're an idiot for saying so..."

What we really need is a "Never" thread... as in we quote all the posters who said before the draft that something would "never" happen, when of course it did... then maybe we could sticky it, and make it mandatory that new members read it before posting...
