While Heshmatpour was highly touted a few years, he's not a first round pick at this point. Marek Zagrapan and Alex Bourret from the QMJHL deserve first round attention. As does Chris Durand from Seattle. He was injured early on, but has been very good since he came back. Interesting list.

Minnesota doesn't need another highly touted defensive prospect. BPA I know but Minnesota needs warm bodies up front.

IMO Chicago doesn't need another defenseman or is Johnson that far away from the NHL.?

Atlanta will probably go for a center.

Michael Blunden should definitely be up there, and seeing them play often, i would say Pouliot and Staal will both go somewhere in the mid teens-low twenties range.

I'd consider taking Johnson over Brule if I were Craig Patrick.
I don't know if I'd do it for sure but I'd really weigh out my options.

I'm sure that even if they used last season's standings, they won't use last year's lottery. That would be messed up.

Give Crosby to one of the three biggest markets in the U.S. New York rangers, Los Angeles Kings or the Chicago Blackhawks....and let him save the state of hockey...Marty
