I was a bit disapointed that Mikko Lehtonen who I feel that if he was playing Canadian Junior would be a 1st round pick in 05, won't be at the tournament :(

Czech Republic Should have Jakub Kindl, Vladamir Sobokta, Russia has Anton Belov as the alone 05 I think?

Of note as well. Three of the top players in the 06 class well be at the tournament which is very exciting.

Frolik who is an 88 born, has to be one of most hyped players out of the Czech Republic since Michalek. Then you have Joensuu from Finland, and one of the best American talents in alonngggg time in Phil Kessel.

I can't waite :)

Has Germany anounced there team yet?

Isn't Risto Korhonen playing for Finland? I thought I saw his name on the roster.

Lehtonen has never played a single U20 national team game and I can't think of anyone in recent history who would've made the WJC squad with achievements as modest as his. He never stood a chance.

Lehtonen? You're not speaking of Kari right?

You must mean in their FIRST draft year. All the undrafted players older than those two are also eligible to be selected.
I thought that was self explanatory. A player's draft year - is his first draft year.

Sorry for any confusion.

I'd say pre injury, Olesz was way more hyped than Michalek. Olesz has refound his game and is on fire in the czech league in the past few games.

Olesz was the "best player to come out of the CZE Rep. since Jagr," nicknamed Jagr2. Was possibly going to compete with Ovechkin for #1 and was the consensus #2 if not 1. (Sept 2003 prospect report).

Of course he got injured and it changed things.
