I have to say that the americans got cheated out of a goal though.
There was no question that it was a goal - I don't know how it wasn't called after the replay. A slow whistle at the other end for Canada's second goal was also questionable. Nevertheless........ We'll take it! Another gold for Canada!! :handclap:

That should have been a goal... but there's no way they would have scored even strength.

Great finish.

Go Canada!

Somebody must have fed the wrong replay to the booth, that's all I can think. Because every angle showed that goal going in.

Disagree on the quick whistle comment, because that was the *correct* call. The puck wasn't covered, and shouldn't have been blown down.

Apparentely they don't have "instant replay" in women's hockey.

They American player said "... that's why we need instant replay in our game."

What a beauty of a wrister by Hayley W. to win it for our ladies, go Canada!
Yeah, it's scary how good she is.

Definately the greatest female player in the world... possibly the greatest ever.

Yup. Evidently the ref was phoning the goal judge. So really, there wasn't much that could be done, and luckily the US never scored after that, to make it matter.

Just kinda take video for granted now.

sort of a pay back for the blantant favoritistic officiating at the Olympics?
The PP chances in that Gold medal game were 11-4 I think.

She's not even the best player on Team Canada let alone the world. Team USA's Krissy Wendell and Natalie Darwitz are much better than her. Team Canada's Jayna Hefford is as well.
Huh no :shakehead Hayley is way better than these two

Wickenheiser is the best female hockey player in the world.

Possibly the greatest of all time.
