Yeah, and a whole lot of them have the last names Hull, Sheffield and Telford! ;)

(Not sure if you're kidding or not, but the last word in each line is the team the guy is from.)
Yeah, that's about it. I got the squad e-mailed to me and it was nicely arranged and all that stuff, but I was short of time so I just copied and pasted it and of course HFBoards did this.

Thanks for the updates Van.

Looks like the crunch match is upcoming with Korea vs Britain. I'm very surprised Lithuania didnt play better considering they are at home. Losing 13-1 to Korea? Ouch. This Korea team is a surprise too.

Now that the IIHF has released rosters, I think I found Lithuania's problem. Here is their roster broken down by age...

19 - 1
18 - 2
17 - 5
16 - 7
15 - 5

With 17 of your 20 players eligible for the U18 team, and 5 of those not even eligible for a full season of Canadian Major Junior hockey, you're going to lose big at any level of U20 hockey. ;)

But how about Croatia....two wins with two 14 year-old goaltenders.

GB have beaten Korea 2-0. The only details I have are GB scored once in the 1st period and once in the 2nd. Now all we need is to beat Croatia.

Two shutout wins, at that, one over a country that's actually produced NHL'ers. The guy who's been playing is named Tihomir Filipec. He was also in for the 7-2 loss to Korea, but he's probably worth watching the rest of the way.

Here's some info on the GB-Korea game. Both goals were scored on the powerplay by Steve Wallace. The first goal was unassisted, the second came from David Lawrence and Paddy Ward. GB had 14 Pims, Korea had 20. Lawrence got the shut-out.

Congratulations to Great Britain, whose win over Korea today earned them promotion to Division I for the 2005 World U20 Championship.

This is why I don't normally make predictions.
