Glad to see Atlanta ink Guillame Desbiens. He's got some problems, but could become an effective player down the road. He was moderately impressive in RN's playoff series against Moncton.

Philadelphia - Jeff Carter, Mike Richards & Alexandre Picard

I had thought that Alexandre Picard was drafted in the 03-04 draft (so the 2004 draft)....but as you stated, according to the website, he was drafted in 2003...

So that brings me to my next question: Who the hell did the Flyers draft in 2004 if it wasn't Picard (as I thought)? :dunno: :help:

Flyers didn't have a pick in the first two rounds that year!

Ah...well, thanks for clearing that one up. I'm not a Flyers fan, but I thought I had heard the name "Alexandre Picard" thrown around in some Mock Drafts for the 2004 draft....

So, thanks for that!

The Islanders signed Jeremy Colliton tonight, so that leaves Cody Blanshan as the only legitimate prospect from the CHL that remains unsigned. No one seriously expects Stefan Blaho to be signed.

i wish they would make a rule that when a player enters the league they automatically make league minimium first year with no bonuses. At the end of that year they can sign a contract for any amount.

I think Chicago signed Corey Crawford in 2004.
Same for Redenbach in Phoenix.

Can't find the archives... but i remember that... any clue?

No, Crawford did not sign last year. There are 4 Hawks yet to be signed, Seabook, Crawford, Byfugelin and Fraser whom they acquired from Philly in the Zhamnov trade.

Carolina signed G Kevin Nastiuk (official site).

I think I made the confusion between Mike Brodeur and Corey Crawford.
Redenbach was assigned to Utah at the beginning of the season before going to the WHL, that's why I thought he was under contract.

Does Darzins really have to be signed? He was drafted out of Latvia, not out of the WHL. It was only over a year after he was drafted by the Preds that he come overseas and played with Kelowna. Stehlik, I can understand. He was drafted out of the Q. But Darzins just doesn't make sense.

In the last CBA I think the player must have played in CHL in 2004-05 so Darzins must be signed and Stehlik has gone overseas for is last junior year so I think he doesn't have to be signed...

What about Jaroslav Halak. Drafted out of Europe, spent 03-04 there and came to the CHL for 04-05. Signed an ATO with the Bulldogs in April.

Does he have to be signed today?
