So yesterday as work was winding down and my motivation was dwindling, I started reading about Peter Forsberg which led me to Eric Lindros which led me to the '97 Stanley Cup finals (being a Detroit fan).
I went to Youtube and found some highlight videos and this great 15 minute highlight video of the first period in game 1:
Watching this now gave me some great chuckles. The animation/graphics that Fox used are hilariously bad (jump to 3:25). I also forgot how awful the glowing puck graphic looks when someone takes a slap-shot or when the puck went behind the boards and out of vision.
Anyway, I found it very entertaining and when I watched it in 1997 I probably thought everything looked great -- besides the glowing puck because I always hated that, heh.
