Thats telling that our own commentators are saying bings like that. They never really do. I know Barkhann was livid after the preds loss. There is now way Hak is like Reid though. Ried went to multiple conf championships and a Super Bowl. The way Hak doesn’t adjust has zero shot of winning a playoff round let alone 3-4.

Well like I said in another post I wish it was somebody other than Barkhann criticizing Hakstol. As Barkhann is a moron himself who just flys off the handle all the time whether postive or negative.

They need to split up the top line and even out as some mentioned. When they get healthy run Giroux, Coots, Patrick, Laughton as your C’s and shuffle to adjust and go from there.

Loved the top line production, but if they don’t score we lose... every time.

These first 18 games have taught me to never get excited in the offseason again.

If you told me we would be last place, shutout 5 times, Patrick would sustain a concussion already and miss 9 of 18 games, Lindblom would be relegated to the AHL, Morin wouldnt play a game, and so on...Iwouldnt have even bothered.

Yeah, it's so ... I don't know. It's ****ed and it's typical and it's so many things. The only thing I'd say is that we were never meant to really contend this year - and I know that doesn't make up for everything that is going on, I see it all, of course. There is so much opportunity being wasted so far (just like at the tail end of last year when we could have gotten the young guys in some games), but hopefully we see some reaction - e****ingventually - to this flaccid scoring. The good news is that this may hasten the end for Diamond Dave Ballsack Hackysack Smokestack Paddycrack Give the dog a Bone. You know, the coach. ****ing guy really bothers me.

However I am just saying that there comes a time when you can’t keep blaming coaches for a team’s failure. I don’t know if we’ve hit that point yet but we are now on coach #3 with this core and have 1 playoff series win. At some point we have to take a good long hard look at the players and realize if it’s the right mix and if they’re good enough. That time is coming.

The core had the mess version of Lavi and Berube, who was actually worse than Hakstol in that he developed one game plan in September and didn't deviate from it. It's not like they've had GOOD coaches.

If they took out Lehtera or Weise and inserted Read onto the 4th line and moved Raffl up to use his possession boost with players who can better use it to score, it would make the lineup better.

I think it is time for Couturier to lay hands -- or stick -- on Simmonds' abhorrent game. Optimally, this wretched stretch would prompt Hakstol to break up the dynamic trio, but if Giroux is superglued to Couturier's LW for the sake of killing the p>

I dont see how this team is any better 2 years from now. All the impact young players are here (Ghost, Provy, and Patrick)...any new guys promoted will just be depth and G/V will be 2 years older. Hakstol will still be here.

Unless Hexy adds an impact player this team is what it is.

Stop being dramatic.

"All the impact young players are here"? Even if we ignore that you're wrong there, you say that as if they're all in their prime right now. Patrick and Konecny are currently the best they'll ever be? How about Sanheim? Even Provorov and Ghost can't improve? You really believe this?

If you can't see how this team will be significantly better in a few years (unless there's some kind of unforeseen disaster, like serious career-ending injury) then you're being blinded by emotion and angst.
