I thought about it for a while and this might be a wrong answer but Jimmy Carson had 107pts in 87-88 and he was only 19. Like maby others, Roenick doesn't qualify because he turned 22 during his 1st 100pts campaign.

Hmm... I take that back. Rob Brown had 115pts in 88-89 and the right answer must be Paul Kariya, 108pts in 95-96 and he was 21 when that season ended.

Gretzky turned 21 midway through the `81-`82 season when he had 212 points.

I think Gretzky would qualify for three seasons. He turned 22 during his 4th year.

Yea but if he had allready 100 poitns before he turned 22 then it would work.

Unless my math is wrong:
Bryan Trottier was Born Jul 17 1956.Thus making him 22 on Jul 17 1978. The 77 - 78 season would have ended before his 22nd birthday, and he had 46 goals and 77 helpers for 123 points in 77 games played that year.

Here are his numbers from that season.

1977-78 New-York Islanders NHL 77 46 77 123 46

He came up just 5 points shy as a 19 year old in this rookie season:

1975-76 New-York Islanders NHL 80 32 63 95 21

Bure might have had 100 points before he actually turned 22 that season.

Luc was born in '66, so was close but no cigar.

Another almost was Jagr, 94 pts season he turned 21, 99 pts season he turned 22, 100+ including playoffs each year.

You are correct, and as a huge Trottier fan, I should have listed that one. I was actually focused on the next season, when he got 134 points and won the Ross.

I think he's going to get it next year specialy if Malkin is in the NHL. Having Malkin on the team will take some pressure of Crosby and he should produce more.

Eric Staal will likely do it this year, that's why I posted this thread. I was going to see how it compared to some of the best seasons had by a player under 22. Thanks for all the imput, guys!
