Hoffman is a winger, not a center - by any means.

As in large return you mean roster player prospect pick. Similar to the Oshie trade.

Duchene had chemistry with a few guys when he was an Av, but then the next season couldn't find it again.

I don't think I'd make decisions based purely on consistent linemate chemistry with him

Hoffman was linked to Philly, but our ask was too high. Sanheim + 1st was the starting point. Carolina might be fit (I know they will likely target a center too); saw Bean+1st as an idea. Edmonton, St Louis, Philly and Florida could all be good trading partners. He's gone though, your core going forward will be Stone, Duchene, Pageau, Dzingel, Chabot and Ceci.
